Most Asked Questions

Bride Block is your one stop source for securing an industry professional planner when it is time to reserve ten or more hotel rooms for your wedding.

  • What is Bride Block?

Bride Block is a unique way to connect you with leading industry professional and certified meeting planners (CMPs).  Our partners are typically associated only with multi-million-dollar corporations and associations.   We are providing this option to help connect couples to a network of planners normally reserved for executives.   Our contacts will help guide you through the group* booking process for your wedding guest room accommodations (*10 or more guest rooms). Once you submit your desired hotel request online, your contact will reach out to you via your preferred method of communication, check availability, summarize results into a custom hotel summary report, and guide you through booking process. For a small fee, our partners will be your consultant throughout the process and help you through the intimidating process of reserving group hotel accommodations.

  • How much does it cost to use Bride Block?

This service costs $100.00.  This is the only fee you will pay. At the time of confirming your block of rooms, our partners are compensated by a placement fee/commission from your chosen hotel. This is an industry standard for third party providers and will NOT cost you any additional fees. They are always client driven and do not represent any hotel chain. Our partner planners represent only you.

  • Why should I use Bride Block?

This is an exciting time in your life. However, planning a wedding is often stressful and requires a lot of your time. Let our expert partners save you time and money by doing this part for you. They know what questions to ask, summarize your results from multiple hotels, negotiate on your behalf, and recommend the next steps. Contact your planner anytime, even after the hotel contract is signed. They act as your liaison with the hotel and will provide you peace of mind.

  • Why can’t I get a quick automated response like other online travel agencies?

Reserving guest rooms for a “group” is a different process than most online websites. Those sites are affiliated with Global Distribution Systems in which the hotels submit and adjust rates daily for their transient guests. If you are reserving only 1-9 rooms, those are great alternatives to Bride Block. Our partners specialize only in Group bookings that require 10 or more guest rooms. A “group” is classified throughout the industry as 10 or more guest rooms. Group bookings almost always require a written contract or courtesy block agreement with the Hotel you choose. The booking process ALWAYS takes working with a sales associate and should reflect lower rates and special offers for you and your wedding guests. This cannot be done without communicating with someone at your requested hotels. We love technology; however, it is always better having a relationship with your dedicated planner and a designated hotel contact.

  • Who am I communicating with?

Once you submit your desired hotel request through our website, you are assigned a professional planner from one of our partner networks. They will contact you via your preferred method of communication – i.e., phone or email. All the planners are trained, ready, and willing to start the search process!

  • Do attorney’s look over the final contract with the hotel?

Although they advise and help negotiate on your behalf, our professional planners are not attorneys. You will ultimately sign the agreement with the hotel and will be responsible for any performance terms and conditions (if any). The only reference in the contract to their involvement is a standardized commission clause outlining with the hotel their placement fee. The planners will explain and answer any questions that you have regarding the contract.

  • Why do you specialize only in weddings?

Currently, we only want to connect couples to our network of industry professionals.   This is a niche we felt needed our help. If you are not involved in the hospitality industry, you likely have never reserved group hotel accommodations. Unlike our competition in which customers are connected to a simple call center, we are opening the door to the billion-dollar convention industry and their meeting planners.  Our partners provide the relationships, service, and value that is unique in the wedding industry.

  • How long will it take to get my hotel offers?

Once a planner connects with you to clarify your needs, their goal is to have you a completed hotel summary report, within 72 hours. Your planner will keep you updated throughout the process and ultimately you will agree on a timeframe that is conducive to your needs.

  • What happens after the hotel contract is signed?

Our Bride Block partners will want to make certain that your experience is fantastic. A document explaining “what to expect after the contract is signed” will be sent to you. Your planner will always be accessible at the contact information they provide. They are assigned to you and will always be your personal contact.  You will continue to have access to your agent after the contract is signed for any questions that may arise.

  • When I submit a hotel search, am I obligated to use your partner?

No, you are not. There are no contracts between Bride Block, our partners and you. Once your dedicated planner reaches out to you, feel free to say that you are no longer interested. At any time throughout the process, you are not satisfied with your Bride Block partner you can choose to decline further assistance.  If you wish, please contact us at support@brideblock.com . We will be happy to assign you to another planner.   As with any client / customer relationship, all of us are working to impress you.

  • Does Bride Block represent any specific hotels, travel destinations, or hotel chains?

Although we refer you to one of our planner partners, they are always client driven and will only work on your behalf.

  • Will I speak with a live planner?

They will communicate with you via your preferred method of communication.  Either via email, text, or phone.

  • How can I refer your services to a couple I know?

Thank you! Please refer them to our webpage at www.brideblock.com.

  • What if I am not satisfied with your service?

Please contact us at support@brideblock.com. It is our goal to provide exceptional service and our customers to be 100% satisfied.  If for any reason, we can not resolve your concerns, we will provide a refund.
